I was there, this was part of the New Titans on the Block tour with Obituary and Sadus. Back when death metal could fill up a hall with 3-5000 metalheads.

Come on now, Arise was their best album after BTR. Dead Embryonic Cells, Infected Voice, Arise, are we even listening to the same album?!

Correction… Sepultura KICKED ass… back when they still had Max and Iggor… They’ve been nothing but parodies of themselves since ‘98. I just tell myself that Sepultura broke up in ‘97, and Andreas and Paulo started a new band. It’s a shame.

Morbid Visions-Roots era ONLY Sepultura for me, please!

É e era bom demais, para ser verdade, está tudo aqui nesta música, agressão, velocidade, different guitar riff’s, mudanças bruscas de velocidade e de estilo, o thrash metal na sua máxima perfeição… Perfect. Merci.

I wish there is any band that can compete against the ferocity of this band. We may get something as good as this if not better. This music just wants you to do head banging….fuck what a release !!!!! SEPULTURA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KICKS SOME MIGHTY ASSS….

blows away anything today in terms of sheer aggression and musicianship in metal

  18. damn! all old thrash albums from the late 80’s and early 90’s kick ass… the music you get know is just destiled and remastered shit. The music then had the raw power! and in my country (Poland) it was still deep underground. man I wish I was born a decade earlier :D

Morbid vision is a good album, however Max’s singin wasn’t that good at the time, it’s improved a lot since this album.

Sep has been kicking ass like this since the mid 80’s… They are the ONLY band that at the time, METTALICA was afraid of. Lars, and Jason said many times…Its a shame max is gone, cause Derrick can’t play guitar…

I think Arise and Beneath the Remains are the best thrash metal albums ever, Beneath…. had the raw, fast vibe on it where Arise had slicker production with massive riffs and fast tempo’s. But IMO, Every Sepultura Album with Max on was amazing.
